Last week, my husband and I sat down over our personal budget, we sat down over business #1 budget, business #2 budget and we discussed whether his current hobby turns into business #3 budget sooner rather than later. We committed to not give in to fear, we cut fluff (it didn’t feel so fluffy 3-4 weeks ago) and we looked at all the financial potential on the other side of the quiet time our government has generously provided to us. And, you know what … we’re really excited.

I’m not trying to be insensitive, honestly, I know there are good, hard-working people that felt they were so close to “making it” - and now this. And they feel like they’re back to square one or even worse … behind once again.

The reality is those of us who own businesses are going to have to figure out how to do what we were doing before but do it differently and more efficiently. We will fight to get back to good and grow with less resources … at least in the near future. Lancaster County, Central PA, heck … all of America is full of resilient, hard-working business owners and employees. We’re fighters, (it’s in our National DNA, you know.) We’re scrappy when we need to be, and we will figure this out. During this time, Liberty Employment will be donating a 2-hour consultation to local small businesses, who find themselves having to do more with less. We will connect with you via video conferencing and if you want, someone else who is a part of making your small business run efficiently.

We have amazing efficiency gurus on our team. Our administrative superwoman, Heather Carrasco has 101 tools in her tool belt and has been created with a “figure-it-out” gift like I’ve never seen in another administrative human. We call her our superwoman for very good reason – she keeps our calendars from running too far in any one direction, has brought some great communication tools to our team and even has our industry specific software talking to our communication tools and running more smoothly than when we found them.

Personally, I have worked in Corporate America in the IT department of an Insurance company overseeing enterprise wide telecom projects, as well as for small businesses and now I own multiple businesses myself. In each role, with limited exceptions, I was responsible for hiring in my department. In addition to hiring experience, I was born with a strong process efficiency gene. During my years as an employee, and now in each of our businesses, I work to streamline teams and resources so that all departments are running smoothly.

We adjust as often as necessary to ensure each person is functioning in their “Sweet Spot,” all of us overcoming communication obstacles within the team. At Liberty Employment Solutions we believe that when efficient teams meet efficient processes and both are backed by a clear vision and purpose, success is right around the corner.
