Above and Beyond
It is becoming increasingly critical for businesses to have an “amazing culture.” We’ve noticed that candidates will accept a lower-paying job if the company has a great culture and mission they can get behind. Conversely, those who take positions solely because the pay was better, even though they know the culture isn’t a good fit for them, tend to not stick around for very long. The priorities of the work force are changing, and if you’re leading with your dynamic culture, you’re ahead of the game.
We are proud to partner with companies that understand this concept and work hard to create a culture that connects to their employees and potential candidates. Hiring bonuses can’t change a bad culture. They can’t compensate for people dreading waking up in the morning and going to work, and they won’t stop someone from looking for another position somewhere else.
Integrous Fences and Decks has worked hard to build upon their amazing culture! With a desire to see their business grow people… they are intentional about leading their team to grow personally, and professionally.
Jason and Sara Hurst founded The Fence Experts, now Integrous Fences and Decks in 2009. While everyone says they want to bring the best value and quality to their customers, that has been a guiding principle for Integrous since their inception. So, how do they execute on this? With one main focus… Putting people at the center of their business model.
“We believe our business isn’t built by what we do; it’s built by who we are.”
Yes, Yes and Yes. Who you are will last long after the mission statements are written and the core values are adopted. Ask Jason or Sara to tell you stories of employees so committed to excellence and their standard of Integrity, they went above and beyond, like almost to “infinity and beyond.” For example, after a job was completed to the exact specifications requested by the client but didn’t turn out the way the client envisioned it, team members gave up a significant portion of their personal time to make sure the client was absolutely and completely satisfied. Those are the types of stories Jason and Sara could rattle off all day.
While Jason, Sara and their leadership team would say there is still room to grow as a company and living out it’s commitment to growing a culture that focuses on helping its team grow, they are excited about where they are because they know where they are going.
We are blessed to partner with Integrous Fences and Decks to help them find their next Fence Crew Leaders and Crew Members, excited to be a part of growing the culture of Integrity and Excellence.
